Our picture books are more than just story books, they inspire change

Over the years Hardie Grant Egmont has always been proud to publishing books full of heart, courage, curious characters and books that reflect the world around us. This year more than ever we are incredibly excited to launch a number of beautiful picture books that have a bigger purpose than just a great book to read. These books are full of heart, they inspire change, they show courage and curiosity, they showcase magical worlds and the magic in our real world too.

Whether you have two mums, two dads, one parent, or one of each, there's one thing that makes a family a family... and that's love. Love Makes a Family is a book for EVERY family by Dazzling illustrator Sophie Beer.

Bold and beautiful, loud and proud, All Bodies are Good Bodies is an uplifting book about different body features and types. Through playful rhyme, it promotes the development of body acceptance and celebrates inclusivity and individuality.

Celebrate the international youth movement making waves to save our beautiful planet.

Adapted from Briggs’ celebrated song 'The Children Came Back', Our Home, Our Heartbeat is a celebration of past and present Indigenous legends, as well as emerging generations, and at its heart honours the oldest continuous culture on earth. Readers will recognise Briggs' distinctive voice and contagious energy within the pages of Our Home, Our Heartbeat, signifying a new and exciting chapter in children's Indigenous publishing.

When Tessa writes a love letter to the Earth, it's the start of a glorious adventure. She blows bubbles with whales, soars with birds and joins in with the noisy rainforest hullabaloo! Tessa wants everyone to know how special our planet is. She believes that there is a chance to save the Earth if enough of us share the message... Check out Dear Earth to read Tessa's beautiful message.
