  • Dynamic, forward-thinking culture and team

  • Australia’s #1 wine media platform

  • Shape the content strategy of the business

HGX, Hardie Grant’s digital venture studio, is seeking a Digital Content Manager to create high-quality written, visual, and video content for our Halliday Wine Companion brand.

Halliday Wine Companion is the leading authority on Australian wine. Encompassing an engaged digital subscriber base, Australia’s bestselling wine magazine, an award-winning website, a monthly Wine Club, and regular events, Halliday ensures that our community never drinks a bad bottle of wine again.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Digital Content Manager’s key objective is to plan, develop, and implement a robust content strategy that drives growth for the business in line with our objectives and commercial partnerships.

If you thrive in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, have a flair for producing superior multichannel content, and have a keen interest in wine and drinks – this role could be the perfect fit for you!

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Editor to develop and maintain a digital content strategy.

  • Execute the content strategy across web, social, and video to increase brand awareness, drive sales, and reach new audiences.

  • Lead the creation of high-quality branded content, with a focus on creative conceptualisation and alignment with commercial client objectives.

  • Manage the monthly content plan and production schedule, covering activities such as eDMs, SEO-optimised articles, commercial content, and video.

  • Regularly audit the website to identify gaps and work with the Editor to address them.

  • Collaborate across departments to align content with broader marketing and sponsorship goals.

  • Coordinate with the commercial team to devise and execute innovative campaigns for partners.

  • Manage the end-to-end production and amplification of content across platforms, including social media, digital, and video.

  • Analyse content performance metrics to refine strategies, ensuring maximum engagement and ROI.

About You:

Our ideal candidate is a natural leader, highly organised, and solutions-focused. You have a proven ability to craft credible and engaging branded content that aligns with both commercial and editorial objectives. You’re adept at developing innovative strategies, staying ahead of trends, and producing multichannel content that resonates with audiences.

You thrive on collaborating across teams, whether to conceptualise creative campaigns, optimise SEO performance, or deliver compelling commercial content for partners. Passionate about digital platforms and social media, you’re driven to push the boundaries of content creation and are excited by opportunities to experiment with fresh ideas.

Knowledge of wine and drinks will be highly regarded, as will your ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and commercial partners. Experience in mentoring and managing team members is a bonus.
